Day 11: September 23, 2026 (The History of Glasgow)
The History of Glasgow
This morning we were able to eat breakfast at the hotel as it was included. We used this opportunity to its fullest as it provided us with energy to walk through Glasgow.
We left the hotel in a hurry to look at a Tenement House that was preserved and is now a museum. Tenement Houses are apartments that people rented back in the days in Scotland.
We were able to see the apartment of Miss Agnes Toward. She moved there with her mother and lived in the building for 54 years.
The apartment was rather stylish and clean even though they hadn’t much space. Seeing how it looked back then made it much easier to comprehend how living there must have been.
After the visit, we ate lunch individually.
After that we had some free time and were able to explore Glasgow on our own. Some went to the Necropolis and St Mungo’s Cathedral and others went shopping. In the evening, we went to restaurants in different groups.
It was nice to get some free time because everyone could explore Glasgow on their own.
It was rather a chill day and after some people went to the gym in the evening, eventually we all fell asleep, ready for the next day.
