Going to Scotland 2026

Edinburgh - Oban (by Alexandra & Sophie) Our Journey started with a train ride at 11:15 from Edinburgh Waverly towards our next travel destination, Oban. Most of us were still exhausted from yesterday’s night packing, this morning’s hectic last minute cleaning of the luxurious apartments we got the chance to experience. Though, to be honest, the apartments didn’t need much cleaning. We first hopped on a slow regional train that rolled us all the way to Glasgow, a “short” one hour trip. After a speedy change of trains we left the city again and headed towards Oban. The train was packed when we boarded and every seat was booked. Once departed the Scottish landscape, the evergreen rolling hills and small villages flew past us, as some of us slept while others ate what we had bought ourselves at Tesco the night before.
