Day 4: September 16, 2026 (More of Edinburgh)
More of Edinburgh
After our joyous evening of Ceilidh dancing yesterday, we started our day with a short walk to the Scott monument, where we got to listen to Melia and Alex's presentation.
We continued our walk through the city, climbing the steep hill, on which the majestic Edinburgh Castle is located. Another presentation held by Matteo, Šimon and Ghizmo informed us of the castle's long and rich history. On our way down we passed Victoria street which served as an inspiration for Diagon Alley in Harry Potter.
On Greyfriars Kirkyard, Lilly, Marta and Julie's presentation awaited us. They told us the stories of the numerous people connected to the place; body snatchers, religious prosecutors and Scotland's most famous dog: Bobby.
The afternoon was spent individually. Some of us did interviews in Scotland street (for those who don't know, that's where our English book is set), some went shopping or further explored the city.
We then got together for a dinner at Ciao Roma, an Italian restaurant, where we enjoyed pizza, pasta and all sorts of delicious deserts.
All in all, a very successful day in Edinburgh.
