Day 7: September 19, 2026 (Dunstaffnage Castle)
Dunstaffnage Castle
(by Julie & Mélia)
Today in the morning we woke up with this beautiful view from our room. .jpeg)
Then, we quickly ate some toasts with jam before we met at 10am in the village to visit the Dunstaffnage Castle ruin, one of Scottland’s oldest stone castles which was built before the 1240s.
As we walked through the old building, we learned some interesting things about the castle life and enjoyed the beautiful view from the castle tower. We also played some snakes and ladders which was very funny. We walked through a fairytale looking forest to the chapel in the woods, which is located just nearby the castle. It was interesting to see the chapels condition now and how it must have looked when it was newly built.
In the afternoon we went shopping for dinner and stayed in our cozy youth hostel, where we worked on our English portfolios with the best possible view.
